Finding ‘the dress’ for under £1,000

Regular readers will know that I don’t think that a beautiful wedding day has to be associated with a big price tag. The whole reason I started this blog was to write for real people who have their own busy lives, lots of ideas and more often than not a budget to adhere to.

One place that the budget often goes out of the window is during wedding dress shopping. As I have mentioned before on my post about searching for your gown, there are lots of amazing high street options (like Phase Eight or Monsoon) as well as plenty of sample sales to visit.

Well worth a visit too are some amazing bridal boutiques who specialise in creating beautiful dresses that won’t break the bank. The best thing? All of the dresses included here are under £1,000.

Minna is a favourite of mine and I have mentioned them before when writing about ethical gowns.  I really love the detail on the Alexa dress and it is a bargain at £850.

Just launched is Minna’s sister brand Indie Bride.  I have already been lusting over the collection on Instagram and with the range set to launch at the end of this month, I don’t think I will be the only one.

The incredibly cool Johanna dress has a vintage feel about it and is priced at just £530.

The short-sleeved Aurore dress has a beautiful key hole back too.  It costs £510.

Popular American bridal store, David’s Bridal opened their first UK store in Westfield Stratford.  Just one look at the selection on offer reveals just why this shop is such a success.

This stunning Vera Wang White gown is priced at £845.

They also do their own range of dresses with this simple, classic available for just £395.
